On 31 July 2015, Elizabeth Devine presented at Television Education Network’s National Employment Law Conference which was held at the Palazzo Versace on the Gold Coast.  Elizabeth spoke on the topic of ‘Personal Liability of HR Professionals:  But I Just Did What I was told!’.  This paper examined the nature and implications of accessorial liability and a range of cases in which not only HR professionals but other employees have been held personally liable for contraventions of the Fair Work Act 2009.
